Regional Final Season For High School Basketball

It is championship season for Orono High School and the Caribou Vikings. The two teams faced off earlier in the year, on January 4th, 2025, where Caribou handily defeated Orono with a 59-49 win. The teams met again on February 21st, 2025, in the Class B North regional final, where Caribou edged out a 41-40 victory in a tightly contested game. The outcome was decided in the final moments when a Caribou player sank a crucial bucket with just 0.5 seconds on the clock, sealing the win for the Vikings. Although this is the end of the season for Orono High School, they had an incredible season with a final record of 15-6 in their region and 19-8 overall. Orono High School will be sadly losing 10 seniors, but on the bright side, they will have 12 juniors and sophomores returning, and I am sure plenty more freshmen who will be hungry to fight for a starting position next season.
